A recent creative outlet came to me in the form of a 9AM class. Hosted by Greek artist Anette, The Unconscious and Art Making offered me and the rest of its virtual attendees a meditative, creative start to the day. Carving out an hour of my morning for meditating doesn’t have that much appeal nor seem entirely possible for me. But when framed as an art course, I found myself unusually present, as I took in the surroundings of my subconscious, sitting on a bench somewhere amidst my ‘inner landscape’. I’ll be damned.

We were encouraged to let go of notions of what ‘looks good’ and, in losing the bias of what feels cool or likable, let it inspire a work of art. be inspired by how we feel amidst examining our inner landscape.
