AUBREY ELLE RUMORÉ

midjourney experiments: bachelorette party & bottled plants

At the National Gallery of Art in DC, one of the evergreen exhibits featured a painting of cakes by Wayne Thiebaud.

The pastels and bright style of Thiebaud has always inspired me, and I’ve found myself using his style to color many recent AI experiments.

Here, I tried capturing a few unique concepts. One is bottled plant pieces - a common scene in my own apartment, and inspired by the many women who raised me, who also saved spare stems and twigs on the windowsill in this manner.

There’s also a scene with tomatoes, mirroring the cherry-sized pack I keep as a personal kitchen staple.

The final features beach scenes inspired by a random need: The header of my bachelorette Google Form (asking for ideas on beaches and activities) needed an image. I used Midjourney’s chops to depict the leftover remnants of a bach party on the beach.
