Among all 254 counties in Texas, our sliver of Bexar County mustered through the 30ish-degree temperatures with power outages, a few days of low water pressure, and a few more of a county-wide boil order. All this to say, things were much worse in other parts of San Antonio, Austin, and throughout the state. 

I picked these film photos up a few weeks after the storm, amidst a sunny day in the mid-seventies. As you can see, my cat, Kitty, enjoyed his first experience IN the snow, after spending the last three years of his life only watching it fall from his perch on the windowsill of my DC apartments.
