AUBREY ELLE RUMORÉ

vendor life: so it begins!

Starting late this summer, I hosted my first-ever stand at a market. Being a vendor has always been sort of a dream - to share my funky plants and art with the community.

After hosting a space at the Garden Market, I made my way into SA Local Market’s Brick at Bluestar night event (with a burlesque show!). My co-host for this space, Bernadette, had a rack of vintage clothes, and our friends from Austin came all the way out!

From there, I made it into the very trendy, very fun Beauty Haus-hosted market at St. Paul’s Square. 1st time there still stands as my best-selling market to date — with nearly all plants sold out, and a lot of interest in my art.

This led to my most recent focus: 2nd Saturdays at The Freight, a mixed-use gallery space with coffee, sandwiches, tattoos and art shops in Southtown. It’s all clustered together alongside a train track. And my second appearance this December might be my most well-planned market. Since October’s, I’ve retreated into cultivating just the right mix of goods — and not jumping at any other vendor calls, so as to preserve my inventory.

If all goes well, plan on a mini site coming in 2023!
